Ruth A. "Blondie" Steck, age 85 of Jonesboro, died at 2:43 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born September 11, 1932 in Anna, the daughter of Carl and Alice (Cast) Trammel. Blondie is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (William) Bryant, son, "Bernie"(Randi) Steck all of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Pearson, Rebecca (Jeremy) Wheaton, Brittany Alder; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Pearson, Carley Pearson, Jason Goodman, Tiffany Goodman, Brody Gulledge, Nevaeh Wheaton, Caitlyn Wheaton, Crista Wheaton; sister, Betty Tutt of Jonesboro; many other friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, "Squeaky" Darris Ayers; grandson, Jason Heater; one brother, Don Trammel. Blondie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. Every spring during the entire season, she would go hunting for morels. The true loves of her life was her family, and everyone she met became her family. Her smile was beautiful and her laugh was infectious. She lived everyday of her life with dignity and passed with the love and respect of all who knew her. Celebration of Life for Ruth A. "Blondie" Steck to be announced at a later date for her family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials for Ruth to be made to the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
