Russell Keith Johnson, Sr.

Russell Keith Johnson, Sr., 71 of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 28, 1950 in Anniston, Missouri, the son of Marshall A. and Mable L. (Dover) Johnson. He married Judy Smith on July 21, 1992. He is survived by his wife Judy of Jonesboro; his children, Tiffany (Asa) Busby, Leon (Carrie) Alsip, Billie (Angie) Alsip and Brandy Alsip; his grandchildren, Keely Busby, Keaton (Morgan) Busby, Payton, Miles and Ava Alsip, Jenna Trammel, Grace Mowell, Hayden and Adley Lewis, Brandon (Geri) Johnson, Brett, Breanna and Chassidy Johnson; great grandchildren, Parker Busby, Colton, Gavin, and Ellie Johnson and Liam Lyerla; a sister-in-law, Kay Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Russell Keith "Hokie" Johnson, Jr. and eleven siblings. Russell was a member of the Laborer's International Union Local 773. He enjoyed fishing and hunting but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
