Russell F Davis

Russell Davis, age 84 of Anna, died on Monday, August 6, 2018. He was born on December 20, 1933 in Union County, the son of Lawrence and Irene (Coleman) Davis. He married Virginia Davie on June 20, 1964 in the Salem Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death March 23, 2018. He is survived by his son, Patrick Davis of Anna; one granddaughter, Kember Lynn Davis; several nieces and nephews; other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia Davis; several brothers and sisters. Russell proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church. He worked several years at Choate Mental Health facility. Russell enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, long drives through the country and dearly loved his granddaughter, Kember. Funeral services for Russell Davis will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro with Pastor Mark Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Carol P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW of Anna and the Scott Air Force Base Military Funeral Honors Team.Visitation will be held at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
