Mrs. Ruby Mae Sappington, age 87 of Wolf Lake, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at her home. She was born May 8, 1927 in Steele, MO, the daughter of Bernard John and Rosa Mae Pickering Newton. She married Marvin Leonard Lute, and later married Grady Ulysses Sappington. Ruby is survived by her children, Marvin Lenard (Carmen) Lute of El Paso, TX, Naomi Z.D. (Thomas) Shannon of O'Fallon, MO, Cookie (Ken) Holderbach of Gilbert, AZ, Grady U. Jr (Sheila Lucille) Sappington of Wolf Lake, Jesse Dean (Karen) Sappington of Little Rock, AR; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, Daniel Andrew Lute; two brothers, Vernon and Johnny Newton; and one sister, Mamie Holland. Ruby was a member of the Refuge Worship Center in Ware. She was a licensed Pentecostal preacher, and was a member of the Jesus Name Pentecostal Missions INC. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Mae Sappington will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The preferred form of remembrance would be memorial contributions made to the Refuge Worship Center in Wolf Lake. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
