Ruby C. Mccann

Ruby C. McCann, age 80 of Alto Pass, died at 11:50 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at Manor Court in Carbondale. She was born in St. Clair County, IL on August 1, 1935 the daughter of Pearl and Cora (Madelene) Hobbs. She married Floyd McCann on September 7, 1950 in Paragould, AR. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1979. Ruby is survived by her children, Carolyn (C.L.) Bostian of Buncombe, Diane (Jeff) Robertson of Anna, Robert (Sheri) McCann of Alto Pass, Terri (Darryl) Hartline of Cobden, Judy (Mike) Stearns of Alto Pass; seventeen grandchildren, Carlos (Tammy) McKinney, Scott McKinney, Tony (Becky) McKinney, Treiver (Corina) McKinney, Luke (Samantha) McCann, Adam McCann, Pam (Jimmy) Dodson, Mike Outlan, Jessica (Jake)Basler, Dylan McCann, Bobbi Jo Hartline, Cherokee, Sandra and Darrylee Hartline, Katie McCann, Sarah Pearl, and Mike Pearl; nineteen great grandchildren, Jenna, Cole, Tucker, Parker, Kiel McKinney, Parker, McCann, Maddie Merriman, Andy Outlan, Sarah Miller, Sam Dodson, Brandon, Jeffery, Randy, Lexsis, Bentley Outlan, Navaeh Robertson, Lacey, Lauren and Logan Pearl. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd McCann; one son, Floyd Wayne McCann; one grandson, Tyler McCann; one brother, Leroy Tucker; two sisters, Thelma Bone and Louise Corpus; and one granddaughter in law, Teresa Pearl McKinney. Ruby worked many years as a cake decorator at the Country Fair Market in Carbondale. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino boat and decorating cakes. She was instrumental in helping organize and establish the Alto Pas Civic Center. Ruby also volunteered and cooked for the Alto Pass Fire Department. Funeral service for Ruby C. McCann will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home of Alto Pass, with Rev. Jamie McBride officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after the hour of 11:00 am and until the hour the service hour at 12:30 pm Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Alto Pass. Memorial contributions may be made to Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
