Ruby Jeanette Hunter

Ruby Jeanette Hunter, age 91 of Anna, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 in the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. She was born December 6, 1927 in Mill Creek, the daughter of Hulbert and Zola (Mowery) Miller. She married Robert E. "Bob" Hunter on November 10, 1946 in Anna. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2008. Ruby is survived by her son, Stanley E. and wife, Janet of Cobden; daughter, Brenda Lea and husband, Don Garver of Murphysboro; nephew, Doug Vaughn of Memphis, TN; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert E. "Bob" Hunter; son, Timothy Scott Hunter; sister, Carmen Vaughn. Ruby was a life long member of the Anna First Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, and will be deeply missed by her loving family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Anna First Baptist Church with Pastors David Howard and Ed Falgout officiating. Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorials may be made to St. John's Cemetery or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home and the church.
