Roy Wallace Frick

Mr. Roy Wallace Frick, age 77 of Anna, passed away at 3:47 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born May 21, 1939 in Jonesboro, the son of Homer and Carrie Ethel (Earnhart) Frick. He married Patricia Joan Vaughn on September 24, 1960 in Anna. She preceded him in death on October 20, 2001. Roy is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Scott) Lemon of Midlothian, TX; step-sons, Rodney Peeler of Bonham, TX, and Michael Peeler of Evansville, IN; two grandchildren, Brayden Lemon of Midlothian, TX and Katy Peeler of Nacogdoches, TX; niece, Rita Kelley of St. Louis, MO; nephew, Clifford D. Frick of Jonesboro; sisters in law, Barbara (Charles) Hileman of Evansville, IN and Audrey Webb of Orange, CA; friend and caregiver, Imogene (Schlenker) Rodgers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Joan Frick; brother Earl Frick and sister in law, Mary Lou Frick. Roy graduated from Anna-Jonesboro High School in 1957. He earned his Electronics Degree in 1992. He spent many years repairing televisions and assorted electronics. He enjoyed music and all things electronic. Roy worked for Florshiem Shoe Company for thirty seven years. He was President of the Union which included Boot and Shoe Workers Union, Retail Clerks and United Food and Commercial Worker Union over a thirty year span. Roy served as camp secretary for Modern Woodmen from 1964 to 1984. He was awarded the Community Service Award from Modern Woodmen in 1998. Funeral services for Mr. Roy Wallace Frick will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 21, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Randy Wheaton and Paul Tirey officiating.
