Roxie Lee Edwards

    Roxie Lee Edwards, age 79 of Jonesboro, died Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. She was born on July 10, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Lynda Carter.

    Roxie is survived by her children, Sheri Johnson, Herb Edwards and Jenny Bartolomucci; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie and Barbara; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and daughter, Joann Whitin.

    Raised in Miami, Florida, Roxie developed a great love of the ocean and its creatures. She enjoyed reading and playing bingo.

    The family of Roxie Edwards will host a celebration of her life at a later date. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements.
