    Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Stadelbacher, 65, of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Greenville, MS, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at his home. Ronnie was born on October 23, 1960, in Champaign, IL, to the late Earl Alfred and Anita Jeanne Stadelbacher.

    Ronnie graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in Greenville, MS in 1978. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s degree in biology. Ronnie worked for the Mississippi Department of Health in Washington County, MS for close to 10 years before transferring to the Florida Department of Environmental Health Division in Poke County, FL where he retired as an Environmental Supervisor after nearly 30 years.

    Ronnie was full of life and loved visiting with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, music, tennis, cooking, watching football and working in his yard.

    Above all, Ronnie will always be remembered for his unwavering dedication and love for his son, Eric. His greatest joy was seeing Eric happy and spending time with him playing basketball, video games, fishing, and going on evening walks together.

    In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his two sisters, Terry Lynn and Carol Sue Stadelbaher, and two brothers, Earl Ray and Richard “Ricky” Stadelbacher.

    Ronnie is survived by his cherished son, Eric Stadelbacher of Winter Haven, FL; two sisters, Mary Ann (Odis) Hill and Lisa Cain, both of Greenville, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 3, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cobden, IL with Father Uriel Salamanca as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cobden. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the service time at 10:00 am at the church. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cobden. Envelopes will be available at the church and at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
