Ronald "Ron" Dean Stanley Jr.

Ron Stanley Jr. age 63 of Cobden, died Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home. He was born May 30, 1955 in Carbondale, the son of Ronald Dean Sr. & Mildred Lois (Hoyle) Stanley. Ron is survived by his son, Zachriah Charles (Kristine) Stanley and step-daughter, Kelly Roberts all of Salida, CO; one grandchild, Raistlin Storm Stanley, and one more on the way; mother, Dorothy Elizabeth Whaley of Cobden; brothers and sisters, Janis Lynne (Kenneth) Dunn of Carbondale, Terry Allen (Donna) Stanley of Cobden, Julie Ann (Spencer) McDonald of Gering, NE, Sheila Marie (David) Rexroat of Wildwood, MO, Shelly Gaye Parker of Gering, NE, Juanita Lucille (Billie) Plott of Anna, and Beth Renee Patterson of Carbondale; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Mildred "Millie" Etherton and Karen Faye Gardner. Ron worked as a truckdriver, mechanic and installed grain bins when he lived in Colorado. Ron was a loving father and loved all his family. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 in the Kelly Cemetery in Rural Cobden. Interment will be in the Kelly Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Funeral Honor Team of Marion.
