Ronald G. Cantrell

Mr. Ronald G. Cantrell, age 56 of Bloomington, formerly of Anna went to be with the Lord at his home in Tuesday, February 12, 2013. He was born June 12, 1956, the son of James D. and Norma Jean (Collie) Cantrell of Anna. He married Kathy Wilson. He is survived by his wife Kathy Cantrell; daughter Brittany Jo Cantrell all of Bloomington; father, James D. Cantrell of Anna; three sisters, Linda (Jim) Ellis of Normal; Brenda (Leon) Murphy of Cape Girardeau, MO, Donna (Tony) Coryell of Dongola; nephews, Todd (Stephanie) Ellis of Carterville, Joshua (Krystle) Body of Cape Girardeau, MO; nieces, Sara (Tom) Roberts, of Normal, Jessica Coryell of Dongola; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; one nephew, Carl Franklin Coryell. He was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School. Ron was employed by GTE. In recent years he had also been employed at Dairy Queen and Hucks locations in Normal and Bloomington, IL, sharing a smile with every customer. He enjoyed movies, reading and spending time with others, especially his co-worker family at Hucks, everyone will miss his kind spirit and thoughtful nature. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Ronald G. Cantrell will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 in the Jonesboro Cemetery with Phil Hileman officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the Cemetery.
