Roberta Dyer Roberta (Bobbie) Dyer, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went home to be with the lord on January 16, 2011 in Union County Hospital in Anna. Bobbie was born on February 5, 1923 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Ralph and Junie (Warren) Pearce. She married James (Jim) Dyer in 1959 where they worked and lived in Fremont, California with their four children. Bobbie worked as a secretary for the city of Fremont Commission for many years. In 1987, when their children were grown, she and Jim moved to Jonesboro, Illinois and resided on North Main Street. She loved animals and surrounded herself with many pet dogs and cats that she adored. One of her favorite memories from her youth was spending the summers at a cabin built by her father, Ralph A. Pearce, on the Elk Horn River in Omaha. She had a great sense of humor, was a wonderful friend, and loved the company of her friends and family. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Bradbury of Lighthouse Point, FL; three sons, Tim Dyer of San Jose, CA, Mike Dyer of Lighthouse Point, FL, and Jim Dyer of Vallejo, CA; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dyer and her parents. Memorial services for Roberta will be conducted onThursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery.
