Robert "Bud" Livesay

Robert B. "Bud" Livesay, age 89 of Jonesboro, died at 12:37 pm, Monday March 4, 2013 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Bud was born on April 6, 1923 in Grand Tower, the son of James and Clara (Bertram) Livesay. He married Doris Hutton on February 12, 1950 in Anna and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Bud is survived by his wife, Doris Livesay; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Sandy Livesay of Cody, Wyoming, Gary and Teresa Livesay of San Diego, California and Rick and Lana Livesay of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Jason and his wife Nicole Livesay, Jonathon Livesay, Justin Livesay, Aaron Livesay, Ryan and his wife Kacie Livesay, Shana Livesay and Cody Livesay; twin great-grandsons, Keller and Camden Livesay and a great-grandson to be, Grady Livesay; other relatives and many friends. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, George, John, Joe, Russell and Charles and one sister, Clara Franklin. Bud farmed all of his life and owned and operated the Ware Grain Company until he retired. He spent many hours mowing his hill and took pride in his and his wife's yard and garden. He also enjoyed watching his family participating in all their sporting activities. Anyone who knew Bud knew that he was a family man and you seldom seen him without his wife by his side. His motto for life was "Why worry when you can pray". Funeral services for Mr. Robert B. "Bud" Livesay will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Revs Joe Aldridge and Todd Plunkett officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 5 until 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
