Robert "Bob" G. Isaacs Sr.

Robert "Bob" G. Isaacs Sr., age 88 of Cobden, died Monday, September 14, 2020 at his home. He was born August 14, 1932 in Centralia, the son of Elmer and Lucille (Roberts) Isaacs. He married the love of his life Shirley Absher on May 29, 1954 in Crown Point, IN. She preceded him in death in November of 2019. Bob is survived by his daughters, Marilyn (Frank) Kohnke, Teresa (Steve) Hook, Sandra (Ray) Lewis; sons, Robert Jr (Tracy) Isaacs and Michael (Sheila) Isaacs; grandchildren, Brittany and Robert Kohnke, Steven and Christopher Hook, Shannon Hein, Brook Pulido, Amanda Stone, Tabitha Isaacs, Heather Mailloux, Donald "Bubba" Isaacs, and Michael Isaacs; 19 great grandchildren; Sammy and Betsy Hess who Bob and Shirley considered a son and cherished friends; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Isaacs; parents; sister, Martha Ann Garrett; and brother, Richard Isaccs. Bob honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a die-hard Chicago Cub fan. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting, and hosting friends at their beloved farm. There are no services scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
