Robert Lee "Bob" Spiller

Robert Lee "Bob" Spiller, age 80 of Anna, died Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the Union County Hospital. He was born August 26, 1941 in Carbondale the son of John Dee and Mary Louise (Clutts) Spiller. He married Laura King on September 6, 1960 in Reynoldsville. Bob is survived by his wife Laura Spiller of Anna; daughters, Dianne Spiller of Jonesboro, Debbie Spiller of Cobden and JoAnna (Mike) Galloway of Marion; grandchildren, John David (Niki) Wingate, Sarah (Matt) Watkins, Joshua (Jessica) Flamm and Tim (Kami) Yates; several great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dionne Spiller, granddaughter Amanda Paige Flamm, sister Patty Westbrooks and son in law Timothy Free Yates. Bob honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for many years for ET Simonds as a laborer. He loved traveling, vacationing with his wife and spending time with his family. He loved to play the guitar, sing, hunting and playing golf. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday December 30, 2021 at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by the Carrol P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Scott Air Force Base Honor Guards. Memorial Contributions can be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
