Robert L. "Bob" Shipley

Robert L. "Bob" Shipley, age 78 of Jonesboro, died at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his home. He was born May 29, 1939 in Seymour, IN, the son of Irving and Lucille Shipley. Bob is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Brian) Calhoun of Jonesboro and Mindy Shipley (Keith Caraker) of Anna; seven grandchildren, McKayla (Josh) Schlenker, Michael (Kayla) Calhoun, Madison Calhoun, Jaselynn Shipley, Mallary Shipley, Baleigh Shipley and Michael Caraker; great grandchildren, Luke Schlenker and Emma Schlenker; two sisters, Alice Frick of Jonesboro and Barbara (Lee) Knowles of Marion; one brother, Don (Connie) Shipley of Anna; other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Bonnie Shipley; one brother, Jim Shipley.Bob enjoyed hunting and horseback riding in his younger years. Funeral services for Robert L. "Bob" Shipley will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Paul Tirey officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery.
