Robert "Bob" F. Hill

     Robert “Bob” Hill, age 83 of Cobden, passed away, Saturday, January 31, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born December 23, 1942 in Cobden, the son of Walter and Mildred (Burris) Hill. He married Linda Craig, June 25, 1966 at the First Baptist Church in Anna.

     Bob is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hill of Cobden; son, Brian (Vonda) Hill of Anna; daughter, Julie (Kurt) Marteney of Silver Spring, MD; three grandchildren, Jessica Deitch (Emanuel Allen) of Carterville, Christopher Hill and Michael (Hailey) Hill all of Anna; great-grandson, Robert Kurt Allen of Carterville; two sisters, Shirley Rendleman of Indiana and Norma (Don) Lemaster of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Sue Bunch, Billie Jean Alley and Betty Ruth Toler.

     Bob was a member of Harvest Church in Anna for many years. He graduated AJ class of 1960. He honorably served his country in the United States Army, serving as telecommunicator during his time in Germany. Bob was retired from Choate Mental Health where he worked security for eleven years.

     Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Matt Crain officiating. Interment will follow in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
