Richard Lee Smith

Mr. Richard Lee Smith, age 73 of Somerset, KY, formerly of Jonesboro died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at his son's home. He was born March 23, 1942 in Cache, IL, the son of Louie Melvin and Estella Gertrude (Wallace) Smith. Richard is survived by his son, Tom (Tracey) Smith of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Torie (Ryan) Carter, Tommie Smith and Alyson Smith; one great grandchild, Liam Brazil; one sister, Mary Alice Rheam of Brainerd, NM; three brothers, Wendell Smith of Texas, Kenny (Lois) Smith of Anna, and Bill (Janice) Smith of Goreville; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregory Smith; and sister and brother in law, Eula and Don Sheffer. Richard was retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a life member of the Elks in Pell City Alabama. Funeral services for Mr. Richard Lee Smith will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Dee Armes officiating. Interment will be in the Kelley Cemetery in Cobden. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
