Richard "Dick" Leslie Mccain

Richard "Dick" L. McCain, age 81 of Palm Springs, CA, formerly of Jonesboro died Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Palm Springs, CA. He was born April 27, 1938 to Leslie and Hazel Housman McCain. His mother dying shortly after his birth, he was raised by his maternal grandmother and his mother's sisters. Born in Jonesboro, he attended Jonesboro school and AJ High School. He served with the Illinois National Guard, the Active Duty Army, and a tour in the United States Airforce. He worked his way through the University of Indiana earning a degree in Geology and a Masters in Education. He taught high school math and science in Montgomery County, Maryland teaching both students and faculty Computer Operation and Programming. Following thirty five years of teaching, he sold his home in Washington D.C. and purchased a home in Palm Springs, California. He was a gentleman content with his God and the conduct of his life. He will be buried next to his grandmother, Laura Housman in Jonesboro. He will be missed and remembered.
