Richard F. Duke

Mr. Richard F. Duke, age 75 of Jonesboro, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at his home. He was born February 9, 1940 in Granite City, Illinois, the son of Dewey and Frieda Christiansen Duke. He married Phyllis Jeanne, and she preceded him in death. Duke is survived by his niece, who he lived with, Susan (Leonead) Kern and her children, Jennifer Buckingham, Jordan, David and Harry Kern all of Jonesboro, other nieces, Elizabeth (Red) Martin of Jonesboro, Janet Cochrane of Albiqurqe, NM., Mary (Kevin) Bourland of Rogers, AR., Sharon Agne of Los Lunes, NM., and Cathleen (Mike) Isom of Robinson, IL; nephew, David Agne of Jonesboro; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Phyllis Duke; two sisters, Shirley Jean Agne and Doris Humphrey; and one niece, Christine Agne. Duke attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. He worked many years as a diesel mechanic. According to his wishes, Duke will be cremated. Interment will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
