Richard Patrick Brewer

Richard Patrick Brewer, 67 of Makanda, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in Makanda. He was born on October 6, 1954 in Anna, Illinois, the son of Richard Lee and Barbara Ellen (Wright) Brewer. He is survived by two brothers, Michael (Grace) Brewer and Danny Brewer, both of Makanda; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Bill) Batula, Becky Baggett, Kimberly (Chris) Tyra, Kenneth Brewer and Kay (James) Morrow; great nieces and nephews, Cheyenne, Joshua, Jacob, Joseph, Sara, Jace, Oliver, Vincent and Lucas and two aunts, Lois Goodnight and Ethel Barnett. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Vickie Baggett and Candi Clover. Richard was a retired union laborer. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and arrowhead hunting. Graveside funeral services for Richard Brewer will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda with Rev. Richard Bittle officiating. Interment will follow. Family and friends will begin gathering at the graveside at 12:30 p.m. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements.
