Richard R. Bernhard

Mr. Richard R. Bernhard, age 75 of Anna, died at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born on July 3, 1940 in Jonesboro, the son of Norman and Helen (Baggott) Bernhard. Richard married Debbie Salter in 1973 in Florida. Richard is survived by his wife, Debbie Bernhard of Anna; one son, Dean Bernhard of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Deanne (Tim) Ellis of Cobden; three grandchildren, Austin Pender, Kristin Pender and Ivy Bernhard; four step-grandchildren, Geri, Taylor, Jake and Molly Ellis; one brother, David Bernhard of Florida; mother-in-law, Joann Jenkins of Anna; his best friend, a yellow lab named, Nick; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Bernhard and mother, Helen Huff. Richard owned and operated the Union County Reality until his retirement. Funeral services for Mr. Richard R. Bernhard will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Mike Turner officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 p.m. and until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions made be made to P.A.W.S.
