Revis Brown

Revis Brown, age 93 of Anna, died Friday, September 6, 2019 in Union County Hospital. He was born April 5, 1926, the son of Fred and Agnes Brown. He married Mary (Basler) on December 20, 1958. Revis is survived by his wife, Mary Brown of Anna; sister, Barbara Lair of Jonesboro; and sister-in-law, Shelby Brown of Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gail "Butch" Brown. Revis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was wounded in action at Iwo Jima, and later reenlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then worked as a mapper for the US Geological Society. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2019 in Mound City National Cemetery. Everyone is asked to go directly to the cemetery.
