Mr. Raymond Choate, age 91 of Lick Creek, died at 6:37 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at his home. He was born July 24, 1921 in Russellville, Arkansas, the son of John Ira and Ada Louise McNaulty Choate. He married Doris Helen Singleton on May 3, 1941 in Blytheville, AR. Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Doris Choate of Lick Creek; five children, Carolyn (Gladwyn) Hall of Lick Creek, Barbara (Pastor Joe) Gerkin of Grand Rapid, MI, Frankie (Ron) Kelley of Montgomery, IL, Steve Choate of Aurora, and Bryan (Jill) Choate of Montgomery, IL; twelve grandchildren, Adam, Aaron and Ethan Hall, Jennifer Molag, Peter Gerkin, Amy Greenfield, Raymond Choate III, Zachary Kelley, Stevie Choate, Joshua Choate, Lindsay Barner and Daniel Choate; eighteen great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond Jr; two sisters and three brothers. Raymond was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church for many years. He retired from All-Steel Corporation in Montgomery, IL after 40 years of service. Funeral services for Mr. Raymond Choate will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Mark Roath and Pastor Joe Gerkin officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Anna Heights Baptist Church and VNA TIP Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
