Phyllis C. Tweedy

Phyllis C. Tweedy, age 79 of Wolf Lake, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the Union County Hospital. She was born November 17, 1938 in Jonesboro, the daughter Phillip Eugene and Beulah (Smith) Rothchild. She married Richard Tweedy on July 7, 1956 in Corinth, MS. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Richard Tweedy of Wolf Lake; two sons, Ritchie (Vickki) Tweedy of Wolf Lake and Rodney (Rhonda) Tweedy of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Brittany (John) Lence of Copperas-Cove, TX, Austin Tweedy of Gibsonton, FL, Logan Tweedy of St. Louis, MO, Cameron Tweedy of Jonesboro, Ashlin Tweedy of Jonesboro and Madison Tweedy of Jonesboro; three great grandchildren, Brylee & Jameson Lence and Kinley Tweedy; two brothers, Charles Eugene (Paula) Rothchild of Marion and David (Kay) Rothchild of Anna; sister in law, Marilyn (Dennis) Tweedy Kuczynski of Plainfield; two nephews and five nieces; very dear friend, Martin Bunch of Anna; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews. Phyllis was a member of the Faith Assembly Church in Wolf Lake. She preached in many churches throughout Southern Illinois and was a licensed Clergy for over twenty-five years. Phyllis and her husband, Richard owned and operated the family business, Tweedy's Truck Stop & Fish Market in Wolf Lake for many years. Funeral services for Phyllis C. Tweedy will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor Ron Thorn officiating. Interment will be in the in Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tweedy family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
