Paul Edward Pearson

Mr. Paul Edward Pearson, age 79 of Cobden passed away at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the Union County Hospital. He was born July 21, 1937 in Cobden, the son of Harvey S. and Betty Octavia (Mungle) Pearson. He married Edith Elaine (Cobb) on January 28, 1957 in Northern Illinois. Paul is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Edith Elaine Pearson of Cobden; two daughters, Nancy (Elmer) Detrick of Ozark, MO, Patricia (Jimmy) Fears of Goodrich, TX; one son, Michael (Cathy) Pearson of Kinsman, OH; two grandchildren, Ryan (Erin) Detrick, Dylan (Evie) Detrick; one great grandson, Cayson Detrick; two sisters, Beatrice Johnson of Elgin and Francis Chunn of Jacksonville, TX; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Leonard Paul Pearson. Paul was a member of the Makanda Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in area churches. Paul worked many years for Prairie Farms before retiring. Funeral services for Mr. Paul Edward Pearson will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Brother Dennis Nance officiating.
