Patricia Newcomb

    Patti Starling Newcomb was born April 12, 1944 in Cobden. She passed away on November 5, 2026 at her home in Marion at the age of 82.

    Patricia was the fifth child of Milo Starling and Inis Hayden Starling. She married Lynn W. Newcomb in Des Moines, IA in November of 1962. She leaves her husband, Lynn, of 64 years; an older sister, Barbara Waldrop, and two sisters-in-law.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Lynn Newcomb; two brothers, Francis Ardell Starling and Raymond Deon Starling; one sister, Pauline Farrar; two nieces, and one nephew.

    Patti was a friend to many over the years. She loved her Lord and said many times that He brought special people to her life at just the right time.

    She leaves a rich legacy for her family and friends of speaking boldly of her faith in her savior and His truth. She will be missed by her loving husband, family, and friends.
