Patricia Anne (Mason) Mcraven

Patricia McRaven was born Patricia Anne Mason to Anna (Eberle) and Eugene Mason on April 26, 1941.  She passed away on October 1, 2024, in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Eugene, Orrie, Larry and Richard Mason, Sharron Woods, Irene "Renee" Horne, Audrey Portnoy and Shirley (Higdon) Ware. She is survived by her sons Robert and Peter, as well as her grandchildren Jennifer, Josh, and Jon and their children, Joshua, Lillian, Merric, Katherine, and Kimber. Pat was born in Tacoma, Washington.  Her family lived in Orting, Washington, where her grandparents helped establish the town.  She grew up without running water or electricity. She was frugal and was always modest in her manner and dress.  She had a special relationship with her younger brother Dick who lived with her or near her until he passed. Pat enjoyed painting, crocheting and gardening.  Her home was decorated with curtains she sewed and decorations she made by hand.  She made dolls and toys by hand and donated them to poor families.  Pat loved to read.  She was also a great cook who enjoyed making Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for her family and friends yearly.  She had a heart for people in crisis and didn't judge people without money or title. Pat was a devout Christian who donated to the church regularly.  She was tough, smart, quick witted, and loved to laugh and joke.  She loved her sons unconditionally and would do anything for someone in need.  She is missed. Funeral services for Patricia McRaven will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Bon Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the funeral home.
