Mrs. Norma Jean Clutts, age 83 of Pontiac, IL, died Friday, July 29, 2011 at Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, California. She was born June 21, 1928 in Anna, IL, the daughter of William Ambrose and Dovie May Williams Lacy. She married Herbert Walter Clutts of Cobden, IL, August 21, 1953. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1971. Norma is survived by her sons Carey (Jayne Liffick) Clutts of Novato, CA, and John (Deborah) Clutts of Columbia, MD; as well as 3 grandchildren; Emma Liffick, Courtney Clutts, and Matthew Clutts, and numerous nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and twin brothers, Bob Lacy of Anna, and Bill Lacy of Conway, AR. Norma and her family moved to Pontiac, IL, in 1965 and began years of active involvement in her community and church. She worked in various professions through her life with her last position being as an aide helping others at nursing home in Pontiac. Family and friends were very important to Norma. She often traveled to visit her two sons and relished the time she spent with her many close friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Norma Jean Clutts will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, IL with Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 am and until the funeral hour at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden on Saturday, August 13, 2011. A separate memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Pontiac, IL, at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 18, 2011. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in her honor be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac Memorial Fund, 209 West Livingston Street, Pontiac, IL 61764. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
