Norma Jean (Cline) Frailey

Norma Frailey, age 86 of Buncombe, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville, IN. She was born March 29, 1937, the daughter of Alonzo Lyle and Ora Florence (Johnston) Cline in Alton. On June 6, 1953 she married Fred Frailey in East Alton. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2020.

Norma was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church of Wolf Lake. She devoted her life to serving the Lord. Norma also spent time as a pastor at a church in Blodgett, MO. She loved to evangelize through song, travelling many miles to preach and sing. She was a member of three different gospel groups. Norma also spent some of her working life at the Florsheim Shoe Factory, as a beautician, and an excellent homemaker.

Norma was loved by everyone. She was always kind and had words of encouragement. During her time at the Florsheim Shoe Factory, she was nicknamed "Sunshine", due to her joyful demeanor. Norma will be remembered as the ray of sunshine she was and dearly missed by those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Frailey of Lick Creek; grandchildren, Jason Gardner of Irvington, AL, Ben Frailey of Sikeston, MO, and Jessica Frailey of Jackson, MO; great-grandchildren, Zachary Hood, Amelia Powell, Hannah Gardner, Jason Gardner, Jr., David Frailey, Zachary Frailey, Abigail Richbourg; siblings, Greta (David) Brimer, Sandra (Mike) Warren, Lonnie (Debbie) Cline, Joe Cline, Steven Cline, Daniel (Michelle) Cline, Cheryl (Richard) Hodson, Tim (Tommi) Cline; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Frailey; parents; a son, Randy Frailey; three sisters, Evelyn Beck, Lorraine Ringering, Jenny Olmstead, and a brother Elmer Cline.

Funeral services for Norma will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Ron Thorn officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rendleman and Hileman to assist with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
