Mr. Noel D. Lentz, age 78 of Bradley, IL formerly of Anna, died at 7:40 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. He was born November 8, 1932 in Dongola, the son of Wayne and Ellen Marie Lentz. He married Ellen Frances Bowen on September 3, 1950 at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. Noel is survived by his wife Ellen Frances Lentz of Bradley; daughters, Cindy (Paul) DeGroot of St. Anne, IL and Debbie Kramer of Burbonnais, IL; grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica) DeGroot of Momence, IL, Adam DeGroot of St. Anne, IL, Aaron DeGroot of St. Anne, Alexandra Kramer of Burbonnais, and Jack Kramer of Burbonais; great granddaughter, Lexie Grace DeGroot of Momence, IL; one brother, Ron (Mary) Barefield of McFarland, WI; one sister, Kathy Elliot of Cazenovio, WI; sisters in law, Louise Dillow of Anna, Myra Bowen of Buncombe, June Bowen of Jonesboro; brother in law, Ken Kohler of Anna; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, Pat Lentz, brothers in law, Raymond Bowen, Joe Dillow, Bill Bowen and Jake Mowery; sisters in law, Dorothy Kohler and Betty Ann Mowery. Noel proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He worked as an auto collision technician for many years at Jack Thompson Oldsmobile in Oak Lawn, IL. He was a member of the Kankakee American Legion and a former Moose Lodge member. He lovedautos and made it his lifetime work, he enjoyed traveling, family vacations and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Noel D. Lentz will be at 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Anna City Cemetery with Pastor David Eidson officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery with military honors conducted at the graveside by the Carroll P. Foster Post # 3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Funeral Honors Team of Marion. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church or the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
