Neomia Ruth Means

Neomia Ruth Means, age 68 of Anna, died at 11:55 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her home. She was born November 1, 1949 in Anna the daughter David M. and Mary Helen (Adams) Cook. She married Devere Means on August 19, 1972 in Anna. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1981. Neomia is survived by her sister, Mabel Hill of Anna; brother, David (Frances) Cook of Anna; two nieces; five nephews; nine great nieces; three great nephews; many great -great nieces and nephews; many cousins; one aunt; two uncles; and her Christian family of Big Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, David M. and Mary Helen Cook; husband, Devere Means; infant son, Daniel Allen Means; nephew, Jeff Hill. Neomia was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church for many years. She worked as a purchasing agent for the Union County Hospital. She loved children and working on projects in the church. Funeral services for Neomia Ruth Means will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. LaRue Parr officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Carmi Baptist Children's Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
