Mrs. Naomi A. Goddard, age 95 of Johnston City, formerly of Anna, died at 8:02 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the Parkway Manor in Marion. She was born September 28, 1918 in Anna, the daughter of Sam and Glenna Boyd Williams. She married Roy Goddard on December 24, 1938 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He preceded her in death on October 7, 2002. Naomi is survived by her daughter in law, Gloria Sickmeier-Goddard of Johnston City; one granddaughter, Donna (Kenny Jr.) Ellis of Marion; two great grandchildren, Dalton Levi and Dylan Ellis; nieces and nephews; cousins; special friend, Barbara Adams of Anna; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Goddard; son, Donald Goddard; sister and brother in law, Virginia and Louie Cerney. Naomi was a charter member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Naomi was retired from Choate Mental Health and Development Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi A. Goddard will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery or the Baptist Children's Home in Carmi. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
