Naomi Absher

Naomi Absher, 97, of Pleasant Hill, MO, formerly of Dongola, IL, died at 1:49 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 23, 1923 in Dongola, IL to Herman and Virgie (Miller) Sowers. She married William H. (Junior) Absher on July 20, 1945. She was employed at International Shoe Factory in Anna, IL for 42 years. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Dongola, IL. She is survived by their son, Terry Absher and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Absher, of Pleasant Hill, MO; 2 granddaughters, Tonya Dyke (Colin) of Bonney Lake, WA and Andria Kenslow (Paul) of Kansas City, MO; 1 great-grandson, Brayden Dyke of Bonney Lake, WA; 2 great-granddaughters, Denaya Dyke and Elise Dyke of Bonney Lake, WA; as well as nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William H. Absher, and 2 sisters, Oreine Simmerman and Alva Davis. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Graveside funeral services and interment will immediately follow at the Anna Cemetery. Those attending will be required to wear a face covering.
