Muerial Mae Brown

Mrs. Muerial Mae Brown, age 88 of Ware, died at 7:30 pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at her home. She was born on February 17, 1927 in Union County, the daughter of Elbert Leorne and Serena Elizabeth (Miller) Miller. Muerial married Carlos Brown on July 18, 1948 in the Ware United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2009. Muerial is survived by one sister, Eileen Williams; brother-in-law, Lewis Hickom; sister-in-law, Jean Davie; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; one great-great-great niece and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carlos Brown. Muerial was a member of the Ware United Methodist Church, she was a member of United Methodist Women and a United Methodist Conference Delegate. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a graduate of S.I.U. in Carbondale. Muerial was retired after thirty-nine years as an elementary school teacher.Muerial was a member and supporter of numerous organizations including the National Wild Turkey Federation; S.E.A.; N.E.A.; I.E.A.; she was a lifetime member of I.R.T.A.; the Farm Bureau; a local member of A.P.U.R.T.A.; a supporter of Migrant Ministry and of the Shalom Parish. Funeral services for Mrs. Muerial Mae Brown will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. John Waldon officiating. Interment will be at the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 until 8:00 pm, Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jesus es el Senor Methodist Church of Cobden or the Ware United Methodist Church.
