Morris "Moose' Denis Hall, age 79 of Lick Creek, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 18, 2022. He was surrounded by his family as he went to his Heavenly home. He was born on August 8, 1942 in Aurora, the son of Lester "Gladdy" and Virginia Rose (Williams) Hall. He married his beloved wife Judy Houseman on August 31, 1963 in Lick Creek. Together they shared 58 years.
Moose had a contagious smile. He loved to spend time with his family, teaching them all that he knew. Most of all, Moose had a love for Jesus that was abundant in his life. He lived to serve the Lord and taught his family to live in the same. He also instilled a strong work ethic into them.
Moose is survived by his loving wife, Judy Hall; sons, Preston (Paula) Hall and Jon (Mandy) Hall; daughter, Rachel (Tim) Edmonds; cherished grandchildren, Cora, Cody, Colin, Julia, Kristin and Evan; brother, Gladwyn (Carolyn) Hall; cousin Kathy (Brent) Hileman; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Untied Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Sadler and Rev. Ken Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Untied Missionary Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the church and the funeral home.
