Millie Brown

Ms. Millie Brown, age 91 of Jonesboro, died at 12:25 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 in the Union County Hospital Long Term Care Center. She was born January 19, 1926 in Jonesboro, the daughter of Howard and Charlotte (Sensmeier) Brown . Millie is survived by her nieces, Cindy Henley of Goreville, and Charlotte (Robert) Abernethy of Griffith, IN; great niece, Abby (Matt) Blue of Goreville; great-great nephew and nieces, Grayson, Cameron and Avery Blue; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Hazel Sauerbrunn and one brother, Winford O. Brown. Millie was a very active member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro for many years. She loved feeding the birds, traveling and volunteering for the meals on wheels at the Sunshine Inn. Millie worked for GTE as a telephone operator and service observer. She retired with over thirty years of dedicated service. Funeral services for Mrs. Millie Brown will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor Mark Hasty officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
