Milford G. Davis

Mr. Milford G. Davis, age 86 of Tamms, died at 7:17 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home in Tamms. He was born March 9, 1926, in Mill Creek, the son of Grover and Ethel Burnell Davis. He married Wilma Lingle on September 19, 1948 in Anna. Milford is survived by his wife, Wilma Davis of Tamms; one daughter Angela (Eddie) Summers of Tamms; one son, Terry Davis of Tamms; five grandchildren, Heather Eastwood, Charity Eastwood, Melinda Summers, Brittany summers and Breanna Summers; one great grandchild, Brayden Hancock; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great grandchild, Trent Owen Eastwood; one sister and eight brothers. Milford was a member of the Elco Baptist Church for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Shriners. Funeral services for Mr. Milford G. Davis will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor John Watson officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery in Lick Creek. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Military Funeral Honors Team of Marion. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
