Mrs. Mildred D. West, age 89 of Anna died at 11:00 pm Tuesday February 4, 2014 at her daughters home near Alto Pass. She was born December 4, 1924 in Reyno, Arkansas, the daughter of Doc and Virgie Barton Lambert. She married Larkin West on August 19, 1944 in Corning, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2000. Mildred is survived by her four daughters, Shirley Williams (Floyd Tellor) of Buncombe, Ruthene Wood of Anna, Peggy (Jim) Rains of Alto Pass, Brenda Kelley of Anna; one son, Gilbert (Ann) West of Anna; ten grandchildren, Kathy Pennington, Sandy (Kenny) Doughty, Brenda (Bill) Poole, Daniel (Rena) Wood, Shelly (Mike) Ellis, Krystal (Paul) Mechem, Kimberly West, Amy Dennison, Michelle Myers (Kevin Neighbors), Joey (Stacey) Smith; twenty-two great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosie (Charles) Stadelbacher of Cobden, and Nancy Jackson of Anna; good friends Bonnie Wright and Letha Arnold both of Anna; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larkin West; two granddaughters, Leah Williams and Ruthann Williams Meade; great granddaughter, Michelle West; three sisters and one brother. Mildred was a member of the Limestone Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for the adults and children. Mildred was a loving homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, beautiful flowers and cooking. She found great enjoyment having company and cooking for her family and friends. Mildred was a kind and loving mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred D. West will be at 12:00 noon Monday February 10, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Tirey officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 10, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to TIP Hospice or the First Baptist Church of Anna. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
