Mildred Marie "Nan" Thompson

Mrs. Mildred Marie "Nan" Thompson, age 87 of Alto Pass, died at 9:25 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born April 23, 1925 in Alto Pass, the daughter of David E. and Dorothy Lucille Dunham Hale. Nan is survived by her children, Thomas Sanders of East Peoria, Betty Bailey of Alto Pass, Judith Etherton of Alto Pass, and Sharon Smith of Sparta; nine grandchildren, Gregory (Sheila) Etherton, Michael Etherton, Sarah (Steve) Wilkins, Dennie Smith, Tommy (Marla) Smith, Tracy (Tina) Smith, Kelly (Allan) Shotts, Jon Evan (Danielle) Mueth, Mildred Marie Bullard; brothers and sisters, David (Clara) Hale of Washington, IL, Curtis (Pat) Hale of Morton, IL, Jeannie (Carl) Ridings of Metamora, IL, and Deloris (Bud) Dhaese of Washington, IL; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Thomas Sanders and Loren Thompson; and one sister and brother in law, Catherine & Charles Craig. Nan was a member of the Walnut Grove Methodist Church near Cobden for many years. She was 4-H Leader, a member of the Modern Woodmen of America Camp Leaders and the AltoPass Quilters. Nan retired from Modern Woodmen Insurance Company as a Sales Representative. Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Marie "Nan" Thompson will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Greg Etherton officiating. Interment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
