Mildred Kelley

Mildred Kelley, age 88 of Bush, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at her home. She was born May 17, 1930 in Arcola, daughter of Daniel W. and Thelma Grace (Wilson) Simpson. She married William M. Buck Sr. November 19, 1947, he preceded her in death September 5, 1955. Later she married Elbert Wayne Kelley December of 1964, he preceded her in death November of 1997.Mildred is survived by her daughters, Thelma "Betty" (Mike) Davis of Anna, Charolete (Bob) Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Diana Lynn Buck of Anna; son, Daniel (Nyla) Buck of Bush; one step daughter, Rina Kelley of Ringoes, NJ; twelve grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; nineteen great-great grandchildren; one sister, Allis Bellamey of Christopher; two brothers, Frank Simpson of Harbeson, DE and Sam Simpson of Anna; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son, Bill Buck Jr; two grandsons; two granddaughters; one sister and three brothers. Mildred was a member of the Hurst Christian Church. She worked as a seamstress for most of her life. She loved quilting and made many quilts throughout the years for her family. Funeral services for Mildred Kelley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 in Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Greg Parker officiating. Interment will be in the Mound City National Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may me made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
