Mildred Graham

Mrs. Mildred Graham, age 100, of Baldwin Mo, formerly of Anna died at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the St. Luke's Hospital Hospice in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born September 12, 1914 in Salem, IN, the daughter of Emery and Leona Gross Morris. She married Harold Graham on November 1, 1943 in Brownwood, TX where he was stationed during World War II. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1996. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Sandy Ford of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Justin McBride of Anna, Emily Clutts of Buncombe, Courtney Evans of Azle, TX; six great grandchildren, Kaelyn, Dylan, and Zach McBride, Mya and Macy Clutts, Aniston Evans; three nieces, Kathryn Harvey of Steeleville, Carla Brooks of St. Louis and Sue Raber of North Carolina; and two son in laws, Steve McBride and Gary Ford. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Graham; and one daughter, Pamela McBride. Mildred grew up in Salem and attended schools there, she also lived in Louisville, KY for a time. Mildred and Harold made their home in Effingham, where their children were born and raised. Harold worked for many years for Sears and Mildred was a homemaker. In later years, they owned and operated Graham Florist in Anna and the Steelville Florist in Steelville. Mildred was a master appliqué quilt maker. She has given all her family members, including her great-grandchildren, at least one of her quilts. She was a loving and kind mother and was loved by all who knew her. Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Graham will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Bobby Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
