Mildred D. "Ducky" Kohler

Mrs. Mildred D. "Ducky" Kohler, age 89 of Anna, died at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her home. She was born July 25,1927 in Akron, OH, the daughter of Harold "Ducky" and Blanche (Faulkerson) Davis. She married Robert J. "Bob" Kohler on November 13, 1948 in Jonesboro. Mildred is survived by her husband of almost sixty-eight years, Bob Kohler of Anna; three daughters, Gail SanJuan of Connectuict, Beverly Hill of Florida, and Judy Miller of Anna; five grandchildren, Jerimiah (Jodi) Womick, Jessie (Herman) Wells, Jim hill, Alex (Jennifer) SanJuan, and Jonathan (Gregory) Costa-St.John; four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Blake, and Jacob Wells, Kyle and Maggie SanJuan; beloved dog, Candy; two sisters, Dorothy Day of Belleville and Jean Hanff of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Harold "Bud" (Joan) Davis of St. Louis, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Steven Kohler Hill; sister, Thelma Obermeier; son in law, Geoffrey Hill; and two brothers in law, K.K. Kohler and Sam Kohler. Mildred was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. She was retired from Choate Mental Health and Development Center after working twenty-three years in the recreation department. She was a beautician, owning and operating her own beauty shop. Mildred was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed. Services for Mrs. Mildred D. "Ducky" Kohler will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
