Mike Edward Talaga

Michael Edward Mike Talaga, age 53, of rural Dongola, passed peacefully in his home on June 4, 2017. He was born on May 4, 1964 in Fort Knox, KY the son of Stanley James and Marilyn (Peterson) Talaga. He grew up in Hanover Park, IL but spent his last few years with his family in Dongola and enjoyed the outdoors and watching Bears football. Mike is survived by his three daughters, Erika, Megan and Melissa Talaga all of Northern IL; two grandchildren, James Thonn and Isaak Talaga; two sisters, Cindy (Roger) Beauchamp and Tracy Sparrow both of Dongola; nieces, nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mike worked many years in the printing industry. Since moving to Southern IL he worked for Trainor Ag Products and loved his new career as a truck driver. According to Mike's wishes, he will be cremated and the family will have a small, private memorial service to celebrate his life.
