Michael Eugene Terbrak

Michael Eugene Terbrak, age 60 of Cobden, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Manor Court in Carbondale. He was born on October 22, 1964 in Anna, The son of Joseph Eugene and Dorothy (Davis) Terbrak. He married Darlene Holliman on December 6, 2003.

Michael is survived by his wife, Darlene Terbrak of Cobden; mother, Dorothy Terbrak and brother, Mark Terbrak, both of Dongola. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Michael was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cobden. His faith and church family were very important to him. As an active member of his church, Mike was a member of the BMEN and the Lay Renewal team. He and Darlene also worked with the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes campaign. He had a great love for helping others and a passion for building churches. He fulfilled this passion as a member of the Baptist Church Builders of Texas.

Michael received a Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University. He worked at Murdale True Value-Cotton's Ace Hardware in Carbondale. When time allowed, he enjoyed fishing and farming.

Funeral services for Michael Terbrak will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Dr. Ed Falgout and Jay Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery east of Dongola. Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm Monday, October 27, 2025 and from 9:00 am until the service time at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Cobden-BMEN.  Envelopes are available at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home.
