Merlin W. Pecord

Merlin W. Pecord, age 91 of Mill Creek passed away, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born December 16, 1933 in Mound City, the son of Merlin and Lena Pecord. He married Jean Thompson on April 16, 1978.

Merlin is survived by his loving wife, Jean Pecord of Mill Creek; sons, Kenneth Pecord, Paul Calvert and Randy Calvert; grandchildren, Danial, Kylie, Chris, Zack, Synthia, Tyler and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Racheal, Margie and Gloria; sister, Linda Burris; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert Pecord, and Jerry Calvert; daughter, April Scott; and brother, Robert Pecord.

Merlin honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960.

There will be no services at this time. Interment will be at Mound City National Cemetery at a later date.
