Mayes Thompson King

Mr. Mayes Thompson King, age 57 of Cobden died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his home in Cobden. He was born August 24, 1955 in New Albany, MS, the son of Everett R. "Diz" and Helen Thompson King. Mayes is survived by one brother, Everett Le Roy (Sandy) King of Diamond Dale, MI; one sister, Kay (William) LaBaume of Linton, IN; two nieces, Heather King and Kayla LaBaume; one nephew, Tyler LaBaume; two great nephews, Brock and Brandon King all of Linton, IN; one uncle, Dean Thompson of Cobden; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mayes enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and playing golf. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Mayes Thompson King will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Cobden Cemetery with Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the Cemetery.
