Maxine Foster

Maxine Foster, age 82 of Anna, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at her home. She was born April 13, 1936 in Richland, TX, the daughter of Joshua George and Velma Irene (Barnhart) Burleson. She married James D. Foster on October 7, 1955 in Waco, TX. He preceded her in death May 20, 2018. Maxine is survived by her son, Terry (Denise) Foster of Jonesboro; daughter, Debbie (Mike) McLane of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Gretchen and J.D. Emrick, William, Jefferey and Freda Foster, Christopher and Michaella McLane; great grandchildren, Matthew McLane, Connor McLane, Kylee Campbell and Claira McLane; special caregivers, Sherry Codner and Monica McIntosh; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Foster; brother, J.D. Burleson; sister, Jane Yankee. Maxine was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the VFW in Anna. She worked for Choate Mental Health as a payroll supervisor and matron at the Union County Sheriff's office. She won multiple trophies and awards in bowling and softball. Funeral services for Maxine Foster will be at 12:00 noon on Monday, August 13, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Randy Morgan officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon.
