Matthew Stephen Roberts

    Matthew Stephen Roberts, age 25 of Anna, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026. He was born June 14, 2000,the son of Christopher Charles and Stephanie Kay (Kreyling) Roberts.

    Matthew is survived by his loving mother, Stephanie (Jackie) Kennedy of Anna; father, Christopher Roberts of Lake City, FL; siblings, Kaylynn Ann Roberts of Anna and Aaron Lee Roberts Lake City,FL and Ashleigh Lauren Kennedy of Anna; aunts & uncles, Sarah Sanders of Anna, Darius Schauer (Elizabeth Roberts-Schauer) of Davenport, IA, Kristy (Marcus) Hinchey of Angleton, TX, Scott (Mehrissa) Gonzaga of Oakley, CA, and Kelle Sanders of Willow Springs, MO; best friend and cousin, Ymir Hinchey of Anna; cousins, Emma, Lexi, and Raegan Sanders, Mia and Adrian Schauer; special family member, Ruth Leuschner of Anna; numerous other extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda Kreyling and maternal papa, Stephen Kreyling.

    Matthew proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman, and loved listening to music, especially his favorite artist Chris Webby. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Cardinals. Matthew was the family jokester; he loved to cut up and make everyone laughand could always be found pestering his mom and sister. Family was very important; everyone enjoyed the time spent and memories made anytime they were together.

    Funeral services for Matthew Stephen Roberts will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Bill Littrell officiating. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Matthew’s favorite color was red, please keep this in mind if you are attending. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
