Matthew Porter Bible

Matthew Porter Bible, age 64 of Carterville, died Saturday, March 1, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born April 5, 1960 in Chicago, the son of Lewis and Patricia (McKeqin) Bible. In 1998, he married Phyllis Taylor in Jonesboro.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Phyllis Bible of Carterville; two sons, Daniel and Anthony Bible; daughter, Amber Wright; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, John Bible (Pamela Dale-Bible) and Luke Bible; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark Bible.

Matthew was a loving husband and father and the world's best Papa. He was a great artist and enjoyed drawing and painting.

There will be no public services held at this time. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
